Ellie's Valentines
I learned something new. I wanted some swirls to put with the heart that I had already started in a scrapbooking program I have on my computer (I'm sure that you could actually do this in a microsoft word program also). I couldn't find any "legal" swirls online that were cute. I wanted it to be able just to print the whole thing off of the computer and then cut it out and glue it on to the bag topper. So, what I did was stamp some swirls that I have on a piece of paper and scanned it into my computer. I cropped the swirl that looked the best and then was able to use it in my scrapbook program. I was able to flip the swirl around so that it was symetrical. So, in the end I wouldn't have been able to make this project without doing it on my computer.

Hair Clips
I think that I am going to start making these hair clips for baby gifts. (Sorry I started making them before I gave you your baby gift Angie! I can make you one if you want! ;) I've seen them around and thought that they were really cute. A friend of mine showed me some that she had bought with a flower and then with ribbon covering the actual clip. That was the first time I had remember seeing that.
Her's had really cute poka dot ribbon. All I had at the time was this green ribbon. I think this one turned out really sweet for a little baby girl though. I love how you can clip these to a headband if your baby doesn't have any hair. :) I used super glue to attach the ribbon to the clip. That worked really well. Then I used making memories paper flowers and used a making memories jewel brad to attach the flower to the ribbon. I glued the ribbon on a little bit at a time and I attached the flower to the ribbon before I glued that part down. Just in case you wanted to know. ;)
Zoo Box
I saw this idea in Paper Crafts Magazine, but it took me forever to actually make one. You decorate a tin box, and then make little mini puppets to keep in it. I loved the idea! I want to use it for a quiet toy at church. If you like these animals you
can print them for free. They are at http://www.dailyclipart.net/ I put modge podge on both sides of the puppet to help preserve them. (I also used modge podge to glue the paper to the box and also on top to seal it).
Just so you know this box is upside down. :) I don't want to take another picture. Not today at least. Sorry.
